The key highlights of PMBOK 5th Edition from PMI are
- The total number of pages increased from 459 to 589
- There are 10 Knowledge areas in the 5th Edition
- There are 47 processes in 5th edition compared to 42 processes in 4th edition
- Clarity on the differences between Distribute information and Report performance processes
- One new process is added in to Scope, Time, Cost Knowledge areas.
- Two processes are removed from Communications management area and along with two new processes a new Knowledge area - Stakeholder Management has been created.
- Differences in data information flow and Inputs, Tools & Techniques and outputs.
